Privacy Policy
We value your privacy.
This Privacy Policy describes how Cronote treats the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.
Our Principles

We do not ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
We do not share your personal information with anyone, except to comply with the law or to protect our rights.
We only collect personal information by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with your knowledge or consent.
We protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

Cronote is committed to providing services with these principles in order to ensure that the confidentiality of your personal information is protected and maintained. This Privacy Policy governs your access to and use of our services and the Cronote website (the “Services”).

Information Collection and Use

When you create a Cronote account, you provide some personal information, such as your name, email address, cell phone number, and password. Your personal information is never listed publicly.

All personal information is collected and used only to complete services rendered by Cronote, such as the delivery of an email or SMS text message. On the Cronote iPhone app, we use your iPhone Address Book to help you find Cronote members that you know. Information from your iPhone Address Book remains completely on your iPhone and is never stored on our servers.

Website Visitors

Like most websites, Cronote collects non-personal identifying information, some of which is done through third party services, such as Google Analytics. The type of information collected is what web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the referring site and the date and time of each visitor. Cronote’s purpose in collecting such information is to better understand how visitors use our website and to refine our marketing efforts.

Cronote collects some personal identifying information such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. We do not use this information to identify visitors. Personal identifying information is never disclosed, except to comply with the law or to protect our rights.

We may use your contact information to send you information about our services or for maintenance issues, such as addressing an error with your account. You may unsubscribe to our messages by following the enclosed instructions or by asking us to remove you from the mailing list.

Recorded Data

Our servers automatically record information created by your use of Cronote Services. Such information may include the time and date of when you schedule and receive messages via Cronote. This data is used internally to analyze utilization of our Services. Data related to the use of a Cronote Remind Button may also be shared with the individual(s) responsible for creating the button. In such instances, no personal identifying information will be included.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of data that is stored on your computer by your web browser. Like many websites, we use cookies to collect additional website usage data in order to improve our Services. Cookies are used at the Cronote website to allow your web browser to remember your email address, which makes it easier for you to sign in. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can change your browser settings to monitor the use of cookies.

Policy Towards Children

Cronote Services are not directed toward children under the age of 13. If you believe that your child has provided us with personal identifying information without your consent, please contact us at cronote@cronote.com. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided with us personal information, we will delete such information and terminate the account.

Information Disclosure

We will only disclose your information with your consent.

Law and Harm

We may disclose your information if we believe that it is necessary to comply with the law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect Cronote’s rights or property.
